The Liberator once ruled over Spiridon thousands of years ago as a hardened and merciless dictator, along with army of Putrid foot soldiers. The Liberators main enemy was Uravus, a brave Spiridon warrior who sought to put an end to the Liberator's reign of terror. With this determination, Uravus forged a mighty sceptre which he used to battle the Liberator, eventually defeating him and entombing him underground. To ensure the Liberator could not rise again, Uravus used his sceptre to anchor the Liberator's tomb to Spiridon itself. After the fall of the Liberator, his associate Liliana, a winged evil-doer from the planet Edrillon, fled and hid away in an unknown location. This caused Uravus great concern and worry, as the Edrillon race have the capability to live for thousands of years, Uravus worried that Liliana could use her longevity to enact revenge many years after he had died. The Liberator remained entombed underground for thousands of years until the events of Immortal Fighters, whereupon Liliana returned to carry out the exact plan that Uravus had worried about.
